American Broadcasting Company

ABC cancelled "Roseanne" on May 29, after the actress sent out a vile racist tweet. It also raised questions about why they had ever aired the show at all.

The question moving forward is, what will ABC air instead of "Roseanne"? She had a well-documented history of racist & Islamophobic comments in the past.

Back in February, they refused to air an episode of "Blackish" that dealt with the issue of NFL players kneeling in protest during the national anthem. With the NFL's dangerous new policy in place, we need a serious discussion on that issue more than ever.

As others have pointed out, Disney owns both ABC & ESPN—which has very close ties with the NFL. This explains why they may want to avoid this particular topic. But if ABC is serious about making amends regarding "Roseanne," they need to confront this issue now.
