On September 14, nearly a year after his confirmation to the Supreme Court, the New York Times reported on newly uncovered sexual assault allegations against Brett Kavanaugh.

The Times not only found that at least seven people corroborated Deborah Ramirez’s account of Kavanaugh exposing himself to her at a college party, but that a witness saw Kavanaugh do the same thing to another woman in a separate incident.

When Max Stier, a former yale classmate and the witness to Kavanaugh’s previously unreported assault, informed the FBI and U.S. senators about what he had seen, the FBI did not investigate. The FBI also failed to interview a list of people who could corroborate Ramirez’s story, even after some witnesses tried to reach the FBI on their own.

There is no question that Brett Kavanaugh lied repeatedly under oath during his confirmation hearings. What’s more, this new information further confirms that the FBI’s investigation into Brett Kavanaugh was a complete sham.

Brett Kavanaugh must be impeached. He is a violent sexual abuser who has repeatedly assaulted women without any personal or professional consequences. He is a liar, he is aggressive, and he should have no place on the Supreme Court.

The U.S. Senate failed survivors and our democracy when they confirmed Brett Kavanaugh. Each day that he remains in office is a reminder of his abuse. Now, Congress must do the right thing and begin impeachment proceedings.
