Taylor Swift is one of the most successful pop stars of all time, joining the ranks of Elvis Presley and the Beatles. And she has used her fame to help inspire young people to vote.

When she posted on Instagram in September for National Voter Registration Day, more than 30,000 of her fans registered to vote. Experts say that this could sway a lot of close elections.

And the right-wing is absolutely terrified.

Fox News pundits have lectured Swift to stay out of politics, and their attacks have gotten truly offensive. Some have even gone so far as to suggest that she is a secret Pentagon asset to re-elect Joe Biden, which prompted the Pentagon to formally deny such charges.

But as Taylor Swift would say: "haters gonna hate." We appreciate her efforts to promote democracy. And if Republicans are afraid of this, they have exposed themselves as sad and pathetic.
