Sign the petition: Twitter must permanently shut down Rep. Briscoe Cain's account for making a death threat
At the September 12 presidential debate, Democrat Beto O'Rourke made a plea for gun control: "Hell yes, we're gonna take your AR-15. Hell yes, we're gonna take your AK-47.
He then got this response on Twitter: "My AR is ready for you, Robert Francis."
But this death threat was not from some isolated person sitting in a dark basement. It came from Briscoe Cain, an elected Republican member of the Texas state legislature.
While Cain has been reported to the FBI, Twitter's policy says: "We will immediately and permanently suspend any account found to be posting violent threats."
There is no reason why Rep. Cain still has a Twitter account after making such a threat.
