There's a lot of DOGE-fueled talk out there about how Social Security is "broken", a "scam", and rife with "fraud". But the truth is that Social Security is the most effective cradle to grave social safety net in America and there's very little evidence of fraud. Roughly 67 million Americans receive Social Security benefits each month, and more than 7 million Americans aged 65 and up are utterly dependent on it as those benefits account for 90% or more of their total income.
Here's another truth for you: Social Security is paid for by the poor and the middle class. Currently, Social Security taxes only apply to earnings up to $176,100 which is not so coincidentally, right around where the middle class income bracket ends...
WHY ON EARTH SHOULDN'T THE RICH PAX SOCIAL SECURITY TAXES ON ALL OF THEIR INCOME? They can clearly afford to!
