Solidarity with the 32BJ Staff Union
Manny Pastreich, 32BJ President and Fellow 32BJ Officers

We, 32BJ Members, Supervising and Non-Bargaining Unit Staff, Former Staff, and Labor Movement and Community allies stand proudly in solidarity with the 32BJ Staff forming their union with Washington Baltimore News Guild!
As labor movement activists, organizers, and leaders, we deeply believe that all workers—including union staff—deserve dignity, respect, and a democratic voice on the job. Our union siblings at 32BJ work hard to bring the power of a fair contract to thousands of 32BJ members up and down the East Coast. Now they are uniting to bring these values home, and we stand with them in their fight to ensure all 32BJ staff have:
- Dignity, respect, and a voice on the job
- Just cause and progressive discipline
- A fair contract
- Representation and fair grievance procedure
- Transparent compensation, protected in a union contact
- A voice in the benefits and policies that affect them, their families, and their lives
We congratulate our union siblings on this historic decision to form the 32BJ Staff Union with WBNG! We urge 32BJ Leadership to live up to their union values and respect their staff's right to organize. Unions for all!
