We, the undersigned residents of Sonoma County, believe that investment of our tax dollars should reflect our values of sustainability, human rights, racial equity, and the well-being of all residents.

We call for our elected officials, at all levels, to divest our public funds from industries and companies that harm our communities or perpetuate injustice, including those that engage in, profit from, or enable:

• Weapons, war, military occupation;
• Genocide and apartheid;
• Exploitation of labor and systemic poverty;
• Mass incarceration and prison labor;
• Border militarization and immigrant detention;
• Systemic racism and mass surveillance;
• Fossil Fuels, climate destruction and environmental degradation.

These harmful practices are incompatible with our commitment to justice, equity, human rights, and environmental stewardship.

Every tax dollar we invest should work toward building a safer, healthier, and more sustainable future for all.
