"End the gridlock on the Key Route between the A1 and Catterick Garrison"

Support Councillor Kevin Foster's call to sort the gridlock between the A1 and Catterick Garrison.

Here's a local teacher talking about the impact on their school:

“teaching staff who commute daily from Darlington, Aycliffe, and Durham have expressed growing frustration with the delays. Deteriorating travel conditions have led some to begin exploring teaching opportunities elsewhere”.

Traffic congestion causes delays and problems for everyone from the very youngest to the very oldest. It is one of the biggest reasons our bus service is failing.

COLBURN AND HIPSWELL DESERVES BETTER

Kevin says,

I'm fed up with daily gridlock, just like everyone else who lives or works here. I've written to our MP. As your North Yorkshire Councillor, I've pushed the Mayor and North Yorkshire Council into recognising the importance of getting traffic flowing between the A1 and Catterick Garrison on the A6136 through Colburn and Hipswell.

The Mayor and the Council have agreed it is part of the Key Route Network. It’s their responsibility to come up with an improvement plan for the road and for the bus services that use it.

I’m asking for your help to put more pressure on the Mayor and North Yorkshire Council to urgently take much-needed action and use their budgets to invest in improvements to our roads and our bus services. It’s time for them to step up and fix our daily gridlock and our failing bus service.
