Stand for a Fair & Equitable Contract
LACCD Management
We are focused on securing a new 2026–2029 Collective Bargaining Agreement that prioritizes faculty equity, transparency, and modernization. To ensure the District understands that faculty are unified around our core demands, we are asking faculty to sign this petition and stand with their union for a fair and equitable contract.
At the heart of our bargaining efforts is the Single Salary Schedule proposal, which would resolve chronic pay errors, achieve equal pay for equal work, and adjust outdated compensation rates. In addition to these structural reforms, the Guild is fighting for robust protections around Artificial Intelligence, formalized standards for Dual Enrollment and Distance Learning, and a firm "no takeback" stance on our hard-won benefits.

I proudly stand with my union and our fight for a fair and equitable contract. As faculty of the Los Angeles Community College District, we are the backbone of student success and the primary drivers of enrollment. We demand a contract that reflects the professional standards we uphold and the economic realities we face.
We call on the District to agree our bargaining demands, which include:
No takebacks: Ensure current salary levels, benefits, and workplace protections remain in our contract.
Single Salary Schedule: Eliminate confusion about pay, prevent errors and create a system where all faculty assignments are fairly compensated for every hour served and rates address the rising cost of living.
Reclaim Our Time and Space at Work: Reaffirm that all faculty, including non-classroom and part-time faculty, have the right to determine how, when, and where they serve students in consultation with their colleagues.
Artificial Intelligence: Establish clear guardrails and protections to ensure AI supports faculty expertise rather than replacing it.
Dual Enrollment: Update and formalize processes for this new form of teaching and address long-standing faculty concerns.
By signing this petition, I am notifying LACCD management that I support my bargaining team's efforts to solve these long-standing problems. We are committed to reach a resolution that respects our work and our students.
