Background:

On February 28, 2025 President Donald J. Trump and Vice President JD Vance engaged in hostilities towards the President of Ukraine, and thus the Ukrainian people in the Oval Office. This shameful display of inexcusable actions towards an ally is reprehensible, especially as they are under direct invasion by Russia. We the people of the United States cannot stay silent in the face of such an action that threatens to harm our fellow defenders of democracy.

By signing, you affirm that we the American people will not allow silence to become complicity. Even though it breaks our hearts to take this stand, we do so because democracy demands that we act when injustice prevails. Let your signature echo the call for truth, justice, and the unwavering defense of human rights.

Stand with us. Sign the letter. Let history remember that when faced with the choice, we chose to stand up for what is right. This isn't a partisan thing; It's a democracy thing!

Dear President Zelenskyy,

On behalf of the American People, we extend our deepest apologies and heartfelt thanks to you and the Ukrainian people. The treatment you endured at the White House—actions that have not only embarrassed our Nation but also affronted the dignity of a sovereign people—stands as one of the most egregious missteps in the history of that office. It would be an inexcusable attack on any nation on any day, let alone an Ally in the midst of a brutal invasion.

We unequivocally reaffirm our unwavering support for the sovereignty, security, and true peace of Ukraine, and decry, denounce, condemn, and oppose the actions taken by our President and Vice President towards you and the Ukrainian people. Our commitment as individual Americans remains steadfast despite the disturbing portrayals emerging from the Oval Office. We demand genuine peace alongside you—one that uplifts Ukraine rather than forcing self-serving, manufactured deals that betray the spirit of global unity in these desperate times.

In the face of unprecedented bullying and attempts to rewrite the narrative of Ukraine’s struggle—a war initiated solely by Vladimir Putin with the intent to exterminate your people—you refused to yield. Your steadfast defiance against dangerous propaganda and inhumane intimidation is a testament to the resilience and strength of the Ukrainian spirit. The barbaric torture, abuse, and senseless loss of innocent lives, inflicted upon ordinary Ukrainians, is utterly inexcusable. Any claim that Ukraine instigated this conflict or does not desire peace is a grave distortion of the truth and an affront to the indomitable will of your nation.

Let it be clear: Ukraine owes the United States nothing in return for the protection we have offered freely. We stand by you because we understand that any attack on Ukrainian sovereignty is an attack on democracy itself. No single nation bears the torch of democracy alone—we all share its light, supporting one another in our common struggle for freedom and justice.

We also recognize the deplorable behavior displayed by those who sought to bait you, President Zelenskyy, with cruelty and baseless provocations. Despite these attempts—efforts designed to render our nation’s leadership and expose it as unhinged and untrustworthy under the guise of "diplomacy" by the very adversary attacking your nation right this moment—you stood firm. In an hour when Ukraine faces invasion and our highest office faltered beyond excuse, you defended not only your nation’s peace and freedom but the very principles of Democracy and the peace and freedom we all hold dear.

To the resilient people of Ukraine, we say: do not give up and never lose hope. You have an entire nation of caring, determined individuals standing with you every day. We will ensure that your story is heard and that the sacrifices of you and your loved ones are never in vain.

Thank you, President Zelenskyy, for your courage and your steadfast commitment to justice. Your selfless leadership in this dark hour fortifies our resolve and reaffirms our shared values of liberty and democracy. You are not alone.

Slava Ukraini!
