Start Testing PA's Water!
PA Governor Wolfe and PA Acting Health Secretary Karen Murphy
In Governor Wolf’s first fifteen days in office he has permitted 128 new fracking wells in Pennsylvania, putting him on track to permit 8,600 new wells in 2015 alone and allowing countless water wells to be contaminated. This is not the direction Pennsylvania needs to be going and doesn't reflect the reality of people living on the shale play like community member, Rebecca Roter?. Will you stand with Rebecca?
On April 3, 2014, Rebecca Roter’s kitchen sink water smelled like chemicals. That was the last straw: about a month or so prior she had begun to notice skin rashes and gum ulcerations. She even thought she was developing an ulcer. Rebecca was feeling the effects of water contaminated by fracking. So she reached out for help from your Department of Health and Department of Environmental Protections, and her plea for help fell on deaf ears. It wasn’t until a year later and repeated attempts that she finally receive a response. Now we are pushing further- we want the PA Department of Health to begin testing all the Water in PA. Will you demand Governor Wolf to do so?
At the heart of Stop the Frack Attack and its member groups is supporting those directly impacted by fracking. In the next couple of weeks Stop the Frack Attack will be pushing this petition out far and wide. Our Advisory Council stands with Rebecca and we hope you will too.

The role of the Department of Health and Department of Environmental Protections is to protect communities in Pennsylvania; to ensure them that the industry around them is not slowing poisoning them in a quest for profits. The tide is turning on fracking. The movement against fracking is growing everyday and this letter is just a start. The undersign are organizing, fighting, and won't stop until we succeed. Your first step is to begin testing Rebecca’s water and all the water possibly impacted by fracking in the state of PA.
