We, students, faculty, and staff, are appalled by ICE’s trampling upon the human rights of communities across our country. Enterprise Rent-A-Car is the primary provider of ICE’s vehicles, and is also Stony Brook University's preferred vendor. Hilton hotels choose to house ICE in Minneapolis and across the country. We have a responsibility to speak up when our university is doing business with a corporation that aids ICE’s operations.

Stony Brook University has an official named partnership with Enterprise Rent-A-Car, listing Enterprise as a preferred/contract vendor on its official Travel & Card Programs policy manual with a dedicated university account number (JN0645). The Hilton Garden Inn Stony Brook is physically located on the campus of Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, NY, and is officially designated as the university's on-campus conference hotel, used for university-hosted conferences and events. ​​

We call on you to end our relationship with ICE enablers Hilton and Enterprise by July 1st, 2026. Our tuition money and institutional resources should not be funding corporations that directly threaten so many members of our campus community. We should be building bridges, not walls. Immigration affects everyone!
