Suffolk county is home to 1.5 million people, consisting of everyone from the poorest of the poor to the richest of the rich. Climate change and income inequality are among the most important issues for the over 860,000 registered democrats in this county. We need Bernie Sanders to bring his message to the people of central and eastern Long Island.

Part of the SUNY system, Stony Brook University has over 25,000 students, 78% of whom are in-state. On top of being a public, 4-year university that would be affected by Bernie's Education for All Act (providing free tuition), Stony Brook University Hospital is the home of the only Level I trauma center on Long Island. This makes Stony Brook University the largest single-site employer on Long Island, providing over 14,000 jobs -- nurses, professors, students, and more. The people of Suffolk County NEED to hear Bernie's message DIRECTLY, BEFORE they go to the polls next Tuesday.

"Another candidate" is visiting Long Island today, 4/11, for many fundraising events with the Suffolk County Democrats, and other private groups, charging as much as $2,700 a head in Glen Cove. They don't represent us. Their white noise machines are not what we need from campaigning politicians.

The community needs someone who represents the majority -- with an open and transparent message. That candidate is Bernie Sanders. It is crucial for the Bernie Sanders campaign to visit Long Island in order to win the New York State primary on April 19th.

So please, Bernie, COME TO STONY BROOK!
