The assault on affordable and accessible healthcare for working families is underway federally and in New Jersey!

After years of fiscal mismanagement under Governor Chris Christie New Jersey is left with a structural deficit which makes it impossible to meet its obligations or goals.  In a ploy to cover his mismanagement and strike another blow to the Affordable Care Act, Governor Christie has attempted to shake down $300 million from Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield’s reserve fund.  These reserve funds are critical to customers like yourself, since they ensure that insurance providers can cover claims in times of crisis such as Superstorm Sandy or Hurricane Katrina.

Governor Christies assault on Horizon is simply another way to dismantle the Affordable Care Act and require higher premiums for families such as yours.  This isn't fair or right and we need YOU to help stop it! Sign our petition to Senate President Steve Sweeney and urge him to reject the Christie proposal to dismantle the ACA from within the state.
