We, the undersigned, call on Caterpillar Inc. to immediately halt all sales of bulldozers to Israel. The production of these weapons enable the ongoing genocide against 2.3 million Palestinians in Gaza, the brutal attacks and ethnic cleansing in the occupied West Bank, and Israel's regime of settler-colonial apartheid.

Our Texas cities and towns play a central role in the occupation and genocide of Palestinians. The Caterpillar engine and its parts used to power the D9 bulldozers sent to Israel, are manufactured in Schertz and Seguin, just outside of San Antonio. This facility is strategically situated near the Ports of Houston and of Corpus Christi, where it is shipped to other Caterpillar factories to be assembled and sold to Israel.

Caterpillar D9 bulldozers are equipped by the Israeli occupation with machine guns, grenade launchers, remote control capabilities, and with an armored security software created by Elbit Systems. These weapons have desecrated gravesites, ran over Gazan refugees in tents outside of the destroyed Kamal Adwan Hospital, and killed activists standing up for Palestinians (like Rachel Corrie, a 23 year old American murdered by the Israeli military in 2003).

As local residents, we refuse to enable the production of these destructive machines in the heart of Texas less than one hour away from our city, and we demand that Caterpillar Inc. stop all sales to the Israeli occupation.

Without companies like Caterpillar Inc. supplying weapons to the Israeli state, it would not be able to demolish Palestinian homes, schools, crops, water facilities, and churches while establishing illegal settlements in occupied land.

We demand that Caterpillar Inc. :
1. Stop selling the D9 bulldozer or other equipment to Israel immediately and cancel existing contracts/agreements
2. Implement a permanent policy to prohibit doing business with the Israeli military and its manufacturers

We urge unions, businesses, and community organizations to stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people against the shameful normalization of genocide.

Texas must not allow its business community to be complicit in the ongoing genocide of Gaza and war crimes against occupied Palestinians.
