Stop the Abuse of Power—Hold Donald Trump and Governor Joe Lombardo Accountable
Donald Trump and Governor Joe Lombardo
According to multiple reports, the Trump Administration willfully defied the U.S. judicial system by denying due process to individuals it deemed to be in the country illegally. This unconstitutional abuse of power has impacted not only immigrants but also American citizens, as seen in the case of Abrego Garcia and many others. Donald Trump has made public statements suggesting that due process—the cornerstone of our justice system—should not apply to everyone. In one such statement, he wrote:
“We cannot give everyone a trial, because to do so would take, without exaggeration, 200 years. We would need hundreds of thousands of trials for the hundreds of thousands of Illegals we are sending out of the Country. Such a thing is not possible to do. What a ridiculous situation we are in. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
How can we “Make America Great Again” when the President himself declares that some people, even citizens, are not deserving of their constitutional rights? Stripping individuals of due process does not make our nation safer. It undermines the very principles on which this country was built and sets a dangerous precedent that allows leaders to trample rights in the service of political gain.
We must not remain silent. We must stand up and speak out—loudly, clearly, and unapologetically—against these abuses of power.

We, the undersigned, call attention to the grave abuses of power committed during the Trump Administration's first three months in office. These are abuses that will have a lasting and devastating impact on American citizens, especially Nevadans.
During his time in office, Donald Trump has overseen policies that have led to the wrongful detention and deportation of American citizens. These actions are not only unconstitutional, they have shattered families and violated the fundamental rights of people who call this country home. In some cases, Americans are being held in foreign countries, forced to endure unjust legal proceedings, and stripped of their rights as U.S. citizens.
What is even more concerning is the silence and inaction from leaders who could intervene. Governor Joe Lombardo has failed to hold Donald Trump accountable, choosing instead to ignore the harm done to the very people he was elected to protect. His refusal to speak out against these injustices or take action to shield Nevadans from these federal overreaches demonstrates a shocking lack of leadership and compassion.
We demand accountability.
We demand justice for every American wrongfully detained, deported, or abandoned under Trump’s policies.
And we demand that Governor Lombardo publicly denounce these abuses and work actively to protect Nevadans’ rights, now and in the future.
We call on all elected officials to uphold their oaths, defend the Constitution, and protect the rights and freedoms of every American, regardless of race, background, or immigration status.
