Organized by the Palestine-Global Mental Health Network
On March 25, 2026, forces of the settler Zionist entity forcibly emptied eleven Palestinian homes in the Batn al-Hawa neighborhood of Silwan, displacing approximately sixty-five people in a single morning. That same day, 21-year-old Qassem Amjad Shuqairat was shot and killed in his home in Jabal al-Mukaber. His body was seized.
This is not an isolated incident. It is a policy.
In the al-Bustan neighborhood of Silwan, approximately 1,500 Palestinian residents face the demolition of their homes to make way for a settler-operated tourist park. In Batn al-Hawa, 90 families, around 700 people, face imminent eviction. In total, over 2,200 residents of Silwan are at risk of forced displacement.
