STOP THE DEVELOPERS, STOP GASPAR
Supervisor Kristin Gaspar
Time and time again, we have seen the true side of Kristin Gaspar - she sides with big-pocketed developers on massive sprawl housing projects in our backcountry.
Our community resoundingly rejected the harmful Lilac Hills rezoning project in 2016, but now Supervisor Kristin Gaspar is working to overturn the will of the voters and push this project through for the powerful special interests that fund her campaign.
Gaspar's support for this project- ignores the science of wildfires, ignores the climate impacts of sprawl development, and ignores the need to protect habitat for our kids and instead favors blasting off mountaintops.
The developers bought Supervisor Bill Horn, and now they have bought Kristin Gaspar. Now they believe that the right time to get this project approved with Gaspar championing them on the Board of Supervisors.
On June 24th the County Board will hear a change to the General Plan Amendment. Lilac Hills proposes putting thousands of homes in an area where our smart growth General Plan has called for just one hundred homes. It would put residents at risk of catastrophic wildfires, like the tragedy we saw in Paradise. WE NEED TO STOP GASPAR NOW!
Please sign and share this petition and sign up to speak at the Board of Supervisors meeting on Tuesday, June 24th.

Stand with San Diegans, not developers!
San Diego County voters resoundingly rejected the Lilac Hills project General Plan Amendment in 2016. Respect the will of the of our community and reject this proposal!
Lilac Hills proposes putting thousands of homes in an area where our smart growth General Plan has called for just one hundred homes. It would put residents at risk of catastrophic wildfires, like the tragedy we saw in Paradise. It would kill declining species in our region - like the California gnatcatcher and Hermes copper butterfly. It would spew more carbon emissions in the atmosphere because there's no transit access.
Stand with our community and vote NO.
