Tell Governor McMaster of South Carolina to stop South Carolina’s seventh execution in 13 months.
Gov. Henry McMaster
Stephen Bryant is scheduled for execution on November 14, 2025, for the murder of Willard Tietjen.
While support for the death penalty is at a historic low, South Carolina is tied for the fourth most executing state in 2025. This means that South Carolina has executed more people this year than 46 other states.
So far, 23 states have either put moratoriums on their executions or stopped the practice altogether. This is the case with the southeastern state of Virginia, which abolished its death penalty in 2021.
Please sign the petition asking Governor Henry McMaster to stop this execution and commute the sentences of South Carolina’s death row prisoners. Any alternative is better than the death penalty!
