Since the reconfiguration two years ago, we've been stuck with an employee lot that does not meet the needs of those of us parking there . There is an inadiquate number of non-compact spaces, the busses are regularly overcroweded and too infrequent, and it all leads to our property being damaged and excessive time spent off the clock getting to and from our cars. We've asked the airport and vendors to address our concerns numerous times, we've given them years to adopt a plan, but they have refused. This wasn't a daily issue for the last year because we were relocated to the Daily Decks but the airport plans to move us back to the painful lots in the coming weeks. Add your time to this petition so your representitives on Charlotte City Council know that you want fair parking standards enforced.

Dear City Council:
I work at the Charlotte Douglas International Airport and would like to protest the small size of the parking spaces in Employee Parking Lot 2. Shortly, we will be returning to designated employee parking lots where the busses are overcrowded and run sporadically. This situation has caused damage to vehicles, made getting in and out of the vehicles normally impossible at times, and has made it difficult to get to work in a predictable timeframe. I am asking for help from the City Council to intercede on our behalf and encourage the Airport Authority to re-paint the lines and provide a better bus schedule. Fight for us, we live and work in the county and we feel the Airport Authority can and should do better for the employees who work here.
