STOP toxic Rock-Crushing on Georgian Bay!
Ontario Government and Ontario Land Tribunal
The Township of Georgian Bay has fought hard to represent its community and the environment by appealing toxic on-site rock crushing that is located right next to Georgian Bay. However, the Ontario Government and its Ontario Land Tribunal ignored our concerns and issued a zoning By-Law amendment to allow the rock-crushing to go ahead for two years on the development site of Oak Bay Developments Inc., known as Oak Bay Developments in Port Severn, Ontario.
They should NOT be allowed to go ahead with on-site rock crushing at their Summerside development in Port Severn, Ontario. This would cause irreparable environment damage to its neighbouring human residents, water, air, land and wildlife. The Ontario Government is once helping developer at the cost of the health of local residents, wildlife, water and environment. Let's be clear too: the houses being built on this land are not in the "affordable" category either.
Please sign this petition and let's stop “on-site rock crushing” on Georgian Bay, Ontario, Canada.

Canadian Government websites clearly outline health impacts from inhaling small silica dust particles. These small silica dust particles come from crystalline (found naturally in soil, sand, granite, and other minerals) when chipped, drilled and cut. The other bad news is that crystalline silica is also a known carcinogen which means it can cause lung cancer.
Please reverse the Zoning By-Law Amendment you gave to Oak Bay Developments Inc., known as Oak Bay Developments, OLT Decision 23-000741. They should NOT be allowed to go ahead with on-site rock crushing at their Summerside development in Port Severn, Ontario. This would cause irreparable environment damage to its neighbouring human residents, water, air, land and wildlife.
Thank you for doing the RIGHT thing!
