Sunrise Capital Investors CEO, Kevin Bupp, meet with residents of your communities
Kevin Bupp, CEO of Sunrise Capital Investors
Last January residents of two manufactured home communities, in Maryland and New York, received $100+ lot rent increases, in some cases nearly doubling their rent. They soon realized that both of their communities were recently purchased by the same Florida based company, Sunrise Capital Investors.
Sunrise Capital Investors is a new and growing manufactured home community owner, and it's CEO, Kevin Bupp, doesn't seem to understand the impact these drastic rent increases have on the long time residents of the communities he owns.
Residents of Sunrise owned communities are calling on Mr. Bupp to sit down with them, hear how these increases have impacted their lives and negotiate for a solution. Mr. Bupp needs to understand that manufactured home communities are much more than profits on his ledger sheet, they are networks of families, friends and neighbors that are all negatively impacted when members of the community are forced to abandon their homes because they can no longer afford rent.
Residents of Sunrise owned communities are asking other manufactured homeowners to join them in signing this petition to show the support and power of manufactured homeowners nationwide.

We are manufactured homeowners and supporters from across the country writing to request that you meet with residents of the communities your company owns.
We have been deeply troubled to hear about the extreme rent increases implemented in some of the communities owned by Sunrise Capital Investors, and by the company's unwillingness to negotiate with residents and with elected officials seeking to intervene on their behalf.
This behavior indicates a lack of regard for the fact that your communities are made up of families, grandparents, seniors and veterans, who all simply wish to be able to remain in the homes and communities they have lived in for many years. While these rent increases may seem like good business to you, to many residents of your communities they are life shattering.
Please make the time to sit down with impacted residents and reconsider how your business practices are impacting their lives.
Sincerely,
