​As members of the Park Slope Food Coop, we affirm, like its founders, that the Coop community stands for human rights, food justice, and positive global interdependence. In keeping with these values, we believe the Coop should extend its tradition of joining international boycott campaigns (as it has with South Africa, Chile, United Farm Workers, Coca-Cola and others) and institute a targeted boycott of products made by companies and industries complicit with Israel’s oppression of the Palestinian people: SodaStream, Sabra hummus, and Israeli produce.

Coop membership has advocated for this boycott numerous times in its 50 year history—the time has come to speak out against Israeli apartheid and occupation.

Until the day all Palestinians live with freedom and dignity, there can be no cooperation with occupation.
