PSFC Members for Palestine is a group of PSFC member-owners, organizing in solidarity with Palestine.

As members of the Park Slope Food Coop, we affirm, like its founders, that the Coop community stands for human rights, food justice, and positive global interdependence.

In keeping with these values, we believe the Coop should extend its tradition of joining international boycott campaigns (as it did with South Africa, Chile, United Farm Workers, Coca-Cola and others) and implement a boycott of Israeli products until the end of the genocide, apartheid, and occupation. Israel must comply fully with international law.

This proposed boycott would ban products that are made in whole or in part:

• Within the pre-1967 borders of Israel (the “Green Line”).

• Within illegal Israeli settlements in the Occupied Palestinian Territories.

• By Israeli companies or companies materially owned by Israeli entities.

The Coop’s mission statement says that it seeks to “avoid products that depend on the exploitation of others.” The Coop membership has advocated for this boycott numerous times in its 50+ year history—the time has come to speak out against Israeli genocide, apartheid, and occupation.

There can be no cooperation with occupation. We will not rest until the day all Palestinians live with equal rights, freedom, and dignity.
