Support a unified Syria for all Syrian citizens, with all their components, and support Mr. Ahmed Al-Sharaa
The Secretary-General António Guterres Secretary-General of the United Nations, President Donald Trump President of the United States of America,Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques: King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, King of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,Pres

We, as the citizens of the Syrian Arab Republic, in Syria and abroad, extend our sincere greetings to you from Syria, the cradle of civilizations and the land of rich history. We present this petition to you, thanking and appreciating your stances and solidarity with the Syrian people during their glorious revolution, which was crowned by the victory of God's will and then the will of the Syrian people in overthrowing the tyrannical regime that had oppressed Syrians for decades. We also thank you for your supportive stances toward the Syrian government led by Mr. Ahmed Al-Sharaa, President of the Syrian Arab Republic for the transitional phase, and we value your continuous support for the Syrian people to begin the reconstruction phase, the return of the displaced and exiled, and to move forward on the path to achieving stability and prosperity in Syria.
Proceeding from our commitment as loyal Syrian citizens to their homeland, we, the undersigned and founders of this briefing and petition, hereby inform your high offices of the following:
First - The Demands:
We support the work and direction of the Syrian government in the transitional phase, led by President Ahmed Al-Sharaa as President of the Syrian Arab Republic, in extending state authority over all territories of the Syrian Arab Republic, controlling illegal weapons, and uprooting the sources of drug production and trade.
The Syrian people are a peace-loving people who have suffered the horrors of war and displacement. They seek a safe and stable homeland and strive for international relations with all countries of the world based on mutual respect, common interests, and respect for the sovereignty of Syrian territories.
We reject all separatist calls and affirm the unity of Syrian territories and that Syria is a homeland for all Syrians based on equal and equitable citizenship in rights and duties.
We demand a full and complete lifting of the sanctions imposed on the Syrian Arab Republic because the reasons for these sanctions have ceased with the demise of the Bashar al-Assad regime and because the Syrian people, in all their segments, are the ones who bear the cost of these sanctions.
We call on the United Nations, the European Union, and the neighboring countries of Syria to support the transitional phase in Syria to achieve security and stability for the Syrian people and to lay the foundation for the return of those forcibly displaced and exiled to their homes from which they were displaced by the defunct regime.
We call on the United Nations and the member states of the Security Council to support the efforts of the Syrian government in achieving civil peace, national reconciliation, and transitional justice.
Second - Conclusion:
Syria is our country, and the unity of its lands and geographical territory is the utmost priority for Syrians. Syria was once engulfed in an unjust war led by a tyrannical regime against an unarmed people, which deepened societal divisions and incited sectarian strife, leaving millions in desperate conditions.
The dream of a strong, unified, and stable Syria has always been present in our hearts, and we believe that supporting the transitional phase is fundamental and necessary to achieve this dream.
We present this petition to the Secretary-General of the United Nations, the U.S. President, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the French President, the Turkish President, and a number of world leaders, urging them to support a unified Syria for all Syrians regardless of their ethnic or religious affiliations. We also urge them to support the Syrian government in the transitional phase led by Mr. Ahmed Al-Sharaa, President of the Syrian Arab Republic, during this sensitive and difficult period to establish stability in Syria.
Syria now stands at a crucial crossroads. Together as Syrians, we can pave the way for a brighter future by working to unite the country and achieve stability for Syria and the region, and by starting transitional justice projects and the return of the displaced and exiled (as statistics from the United Nations indicate that more than 13 millions Syrians have been displaced from Syria since the beginning of the conflict) to their homeland, Syria, and by initiating reconstruction projects.
We call on the United Nations and the leaders of the world to support a unified Syria for all Syrians and to support the Syrian government during this pivotal transitional phase in Syria. We also appeal to the international community to stand with Syria and encourage genuine peace talks, reconciliation, and reconstruction efforts so that the Syrian people have the opportunity to rebuild their homeland, which will ensure a safe return for millions of displaced citizens and the reunification of countless families.
