Support for cafeteria workers at Boeing in negotiations with Compass
Bill McKibbin, Eurest Vice President
About 300 Boeing cafeteria workers represented by UNITE HERE Local 8 in the Puget Sound and Oregon are facing difficult contract talks with Eurest/Compass over wages. Their last contract was negotiated in 2021. One of the main issues they’re fighting for is wage increases that keep up with the increased cost of living and the wages of other cafeteria workers employed by Compass.

We are members of the Society of Professional Engineering Employees in Aerospace (SPEEA), IFPTE Local 2001, who support cafeteria workers represented by UNITE HERE Local 8 in their fight for a fair union contract. Every day, they work hard to feed us. But their wages have not kept up with other cafeteria workers or with the increased cost of living. We urge Compass to give them the raises they deserve.
