We, the undersigned — current and former families and staff of Small World's Jamaica Plain childcare program — are writing to ask VA Boston Healthcare System to reconsider the decision to end Small World's lease at the Jamaica Plain campus.

Small World has operated at Jamaica Plain for over 40 years, providing high-quality, affordable childcare to VA staff and the broader Jamaica Plain community, with an unblemished compliance record throughout. This program serves more than 40 children and their families, and employs more than a dozen staff members, some of whom have worked here for more than 20 years. For many VA employees, it's what makes it possible to come to work each day. For many families, it's been a trusted part of their children's early years.

We respectfully ask that Jamaica Plain's lease be evaluated on its own record, and that VA Boston reconsider allowing this program to continue serving our community.
