Legislation has been introduced to Lakewood City Council to make Lakewood into a Transgender Sanctuary City. This would protect trans people from federal and state laws that criminalize gender nonconforming presentation and gender affirming care. The Trump Administration is targeting trans people with unjust attacks at every turn. Lakewood prides itself on being a Progressive city by recognizing Pride Month.
