Support housing in SW Bend
Bend City Council
Bend has, according to the state economist, a shortage of nearly 2000 homes.
Behind the statistics are real people. Friends and family who leave town, unable to afford it. Workers who face long, icy, dangerous commutes day in and day out.
The answer to that shortage is simple: we need more homes. In practice, there are a lot of obstacles to new housing, but we need to make sure that our elected officials have our support for saying "yes" to it.
This development in SW Bend is just that: more homes. Like most new land developed, it has a mix of things, a park, housing of various shapes and sizes and some land for business uses.
Please join us in asking our city council to approve the master plan for this new neighborhood.

Mayor Kebler, Councilors,
We will keep this brief: as you well know, Bend needs more homes of all shapes and sizes. Our state economist estimates the number to be around 2000 over the coming years, just to keep up.
The "Ponderosa" proposal in SW Bend will add needed housing of different shapes and sizes, as well as other amenities like a park and commercial space.
We are adding our names asking you to approve this project.
Thank you
