Support New Homes at 1458 San Bruno Avenue
San Francisco Planning Commission
The Housing Action Coalition and SF Yimby are proud to support an exciting new project at 1458 San Bruno Avenue that would build 232 much-needed new homes right next to Potrero del Sol Park in San Francisco.
Some of this project’s many highlight include:
Below Market Rate Homes. Utilizing and exceeding California’s state density bonus, 28 units will be designated as affordable housing. Affordability has also been prioritized in the design of this project, with studios being projected to be rented at less than 120% of the area median income.
Providing Community Benefits. This project will liven up an underutilized street and encourage engagement with the neighboring park, Potrero del Sol Park. The project team has also worked with the surrounding communities and neighbors to solve concerns like displacement from surrounding buildings.
Encouraging Alternatives to Driving. In order to promote sustainable transportation practices, this project will not include any private parking spaces. Residents will have access to shared parking, 134 secured bike spaces and 12 sidewalk bike spaces. The project is also accessible to several bus transit routes.

Dear San Francisco Planning Commission,
I’m writing to express my strong support for the proposed project at 1458 San Bruno Avenue. As you well know, San Francisco is in desperate need of more well-designed, well-located housing and this project would create 232 much needed units of housing, with 28 units being designated as affordable housing.
In addition to this, this project will bring benefits into the neighboring community, livening up an underutilized street and encouraging engagement with the nearby Potrero del Sol Park in San Francisco.
This project will also encourage environmentally friendly alternatives to driving by offering shared parking, and bike spaces only.
San Francisco is experiencing a severe housing shortage, affordability, and displacement crisis, and I urge you to support bringing 232 new homes at 1458 San Bruno Avenue.
