Support Police Reform in Dallas
Mayor Mike Rawlings, Dallas City Managers and Dallas City Council
The country's attention has been on Dallas over the past three weeks. We have heard a lot of voices and talking heads on the policing here in Dallas and nationally. Local and national media has lauded the Dallas Police Department as a model for policing in the country. However, we know DPD has work to do to make become an accountable, fair and transparent department.
Its time to let the Mayor, City Managers and Council know that citizens of Dallas are ready for real change to the way our communities are policed.

I support bringing transparency, accountability and community oversight to the Dallas Police Department. I know that improving the trust in the Dallas Police Department will help improve public safety.
I support Dallas Action's Priority Agenda:
- Removing the 72-Hour policy that allows officers to view the evidence, video and statements before submitting an official statement.
- Strengthening the Citizen Police Review Board by giving it administrative and independent investigatory authority, modifying its subpoena powers to be more effective.
- Creating standards, protocols, and transparency for the Dallas Police Department's Internal Affair's department, promoting fairness and transparency for the citizens of Dallas.
