Support the Fulton Street Safety and Transit Project

SFMTA SUSTAINABLE STREETS

SFMTA

SFMTA is having an engineering hearing about important safety and transit improvements along Fulton this Friday at 10 am. Let them know you support improvements that make it easier for people walking, biking, and using other forms of micromobility to safely cross Fulton and access one of our greatest resources in the Richmond, Golden Gate Park. They are also proposing improvements to increase the reliability of the 5-Fulton.

Highlights include increased daylighting (removal of parking spaces at intersections to allow for better visibility for vulnerable street users) as well as re-aligning some of the bike crossings such as 22nd Avenue and adding bulbouts along Fulton.

Show your support today! And if you can make it, dial in on Friday to show your support as well

Hello,

I am writing to support the proposed safety and transit improvements as part of the Fulton Street Safety and Transit Project.

Fulton is a vital corridor, but it's dangerous for our most vulnerable street users. It's important for our transit system and it's incumbent that we ensure the 5 is a reliable bus. It also is a street we all have to cross to enjoy one of our greatest resources, Golden Gate Park.

These proposed improvements will make it safer for our most vulnerable street users to access the park, they will make it easier for people biking to get into the park, and they will improve the reliability of a vital bus line, the 5.

Thank you for proposing these needed improvements! Please move forward with them as quickly as possible to make our streets safer and improve transit for our riders.
