TOGETHER, WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE & THERE IS A STRENGTH IN NUMBERS!
After conducting a number of community listening sessions MS- RAP has heard from many individuals with lived experience across the state.
Based on these sessions, Mississippi is prioritizing campaigns and solutions that reduce stigma, improve access to recovery support services, and address housing issues.

STATEMENT OF SUPPORT
As a proud supporter of recovery, I proudly endorse the Mississippi Recovery Advocacy Project's 2021 Platform.
The platform was created after listening to people in Recovery of many pathways, family members, and allies share their experiences and barriers they are facing in communities all across Mississippi.
Based on these sessions, Mississippi is prioritizing campaigns and solutions that reduce stigma, improve access to recovery support services, and address housing issues.
I am showing my support for those in recovery by endorsing the Mississippi Recovery Platform. This platform is working towards community and/or legislative based solutions that relate to substance use disorder. Laws matter -- and they are often a matter of life and death.
People in recovery have value and can be a resource to decision makers all across the state and assets to communities everywhere.
The Mississippi Recovery Advocacy Project works to:
-Treat Addiction as a public health issue.
-Expand access to safe and reliable recovery housing
-Ensure non-discriminatory housing policies that welcome all pathways of recovery
-Remove barriers to peer recovery services
-Expand Family Support & Mental Health Services
- Increase Harm Reduction Services
-Ensure accessible and equitable treatment and resources
Today, I am joining others in the Recovery Community to have my voice heard and STAND UP for RECOVERY by endorsing this support statement around the 2021 Mississippi Platform.
