Call on Congress to Regulate the List Price of Insulin

Members of Congress

As a result of mounting pressure from #insulin4all advocates, in March Eli Lilly, Novo Nordisk and Sanofi each announced* that they would be reducing the prices of some of their insulins. We need legislation to ensure that these insulin manufacturers cannot once again raise their prices at whim.

We need to ensure that all insulins are affordable and accessible for all. We need Congress to regulate the price of all insulins through a federal price cap.

*Note: The petition and the wording was updated after launch to indicate subsequent announcements that all three insulin manufacturers will be lowering some of their insulin list prices. Read more here.

We believe in a world where everyone who needs insulin, no matter where they live or what insurance they have, has everything they need to survive and achieve their dreams.

Over 7 million Americans rely on injected insulin to stay alive and healthy. Many use more than one insulin dosage form or type. 1 in 4 people with type 1 diabetes have rationed insulin due to cost. All insulin must be affordable and accessible to all.

Please pass a law to cap the list price of all insulins.
