Take the Pledge to Boycott Staples
Staples CEO Ron Sargent
Our postal service -- and thousands of union living wage jobs -- are under attack. The mega-corporation Staples is rolling out a plan to provide US Postal Service products and services directly in their stores. Time and time again, we’ve seen private companies attempt to take over our important public services. We see this for what it is: an underhanded attack on our neighborhood post offices and living wage jobs.
We value our neighborhood post offices, and are committed to fighting alongside our postal workers until Staples ends this dirty deal with the US Postal Service.
Join us today in a pledge to boycott Staples, because the U.S. Mail is NOT for sale!

I am writing today because I am deeply concerned with the United States Postal Service move to operate postal counters in Staples stores. I will be joining other activists across the country in an official boycott of all Staples stores, until this program is halted.
I find this program alarming in its risks to the integrity and quality of US mail service, as well as the impact that it will have on the thousands of postal workers who depend on the US Postal Service for quality, middle class jobs. I understand that the US Postal Service is second largest civilian employer in the US, and the largest civilian employer of union middle class jobs for African Americans and veterans, including disabled veterans. A move from neighborhood post offices to Staples stores will replace these crucial jobs with nonunion, low wage, hourly positions. I find it shocking that Staples would move to undermine this crucial bedrock of our economy and society.
I pledge to boycott all Staples stores until this program is ended.
