I’m writing to urge you to revoke your offer to ICE to provide the agency with Salesforce tools to help hire more agents, as reported on in the New York Times.
Communities across the country, including San Francisco, are facing violent ICE raids and a deportations dragnet targeting immigrants, allies, journalists, protesters, and U.S. citizens. ICE has flooded the streets of Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, and Portland, torn families and communities apart, and even disappeared people through its hellish arrests, prisons, and deportations.
No tech company should be doubling down and selling products to ICE that will help them hire more officers and escalate these horrors. Immigrants are core to our national identity, and many who have been targeted are beloved members of their communities. Tech workers, allies, and community members are calling for you to rescind the offer you made to help ICE triple its staff with AI tools. Please do the right thing and don’t help ICE staff up its campaigns terrorizing communities.
