Tell DRBC to Vote NO on the Permit Extension for The Gibbstown LNG Export Terminal DOCK2 Project

The Delaware River Basin Commissioners - the Governors of New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware and the federal representative from the Army Corps of Engineers

On Wednesday, Sept 10th, the DRBC will be holding its 3rd quarter regular business meeting. On the agenda is a resolution concerning the extension of the proposed Gibbstown LNG Export Terminal Dock (called DOCK 2), first approved in 2019 and extended in 2022. The public fought this massive, dangerous LNG export project for years but it was nonetheless approved. The project has not been built and they now want yet another extension of their permit despite the fact it is obsolete and should be cancelled entirely. - we need your help to tell DRBC to VOTE NO on this extension. There has been no public hearing held on the approval of this permit.

The petition reads:

To the Delaware River Basin Commissioners - the Governors of New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware and the federal representative from the Army Corps of Engineers:

We the undersigned request that the Commissioners of the Delaware River Basin Commission vote NO on the permit extension request from Delaware River Partners for the proposed Gibbstown LNG Export Terminal Dock - Docket No.: D-2017-009-2, June 12, 2019; Delaware River Partners LLC for Gibbstown Logistics Center Dock 2, Greenwich Township, NJ; Previously Extended through: June 12, 2025.

The Gibbstown LNG Export Terminal DOCK2 project has been languishing for over 6 years since its first approval and then its extension in 2022. The public fought this massive, dangerous LNG export project for years but it was approved nonetheless. The project has not been built, Delaware River Partners has pursued other projects instead, and they now want yet another extension of their permit for the proposed LNG Export Project despite the fact the project is obsolete, gravely threatens our communities and the Delaware River, and should be cancelled entirely.

As the DRBC Commissioners, it is crucial that you deny the extension of application for this obsolete, highly dangerous and environmentally damaging project that the public has so forcefully rejected.

Commissioners, please VOTE NO.

Please sign and share this petition before the Sept 10th Business Meeting
