Tell Hillary Clinton: Drop Private Prisons!
Hillary Clinton
News reports have revealed that lobbyists associated with private prisons are raising tons of money for Hillary Clinton’s campaign - $133,246 to be exact. 1
Hillary Clinton says she supports immigrant families yet still receives large campaign contributions from lobbyists for the private prison corporations that profit off of the mass incarceration of people of color. You have to be pretty dirty to be in the kind of business that makes money by keeping people locked up.
Corrections Corporation of America and the Geo Group are both THAT dirty.
These companies own and operate hundreds of jails, including immigrant detention centers cited for gross conditions, abuses and human rights violations. Oh, and two of Hillary Clinton’s big fundraisers happen to be prison company lobbyists.
They’re part of Hillary’s elite group of “bundlers”: lobbyists who collect contributions on behalf of a campaign. In return for their work, they’re rewarded with special favors, like access to the candidate. So while we hear pro-immigrant promises on the campaign trail, we can only imagine the promises being made behind closed doors!
B.I.G said it best: Mo money, Mo Problems.
Both the Geo Group and Corrections Corporation of America benefit from over-policing in our communities, long sentences for minor offenses, and immigration laws that criminalize our families.
To bring lobbyists for these corporations and their money -- made off the locking up of hundreds of thousands of immigrants and our black and brown brothers and sisters into your inner circle is wrong.
Sign the petition and demand Hillary Clinton drop private prisons, their lobbyists and their money.

Both the Geo Group and Corrections Corporation of America benefit from over-policing in our communities, long sentences, and immigration laws that criminalize our families.
To take money from these corporations is to take money that has been made off the locking up of hundreds of thousands of immigrants and our black and brown brothers and sisters.
Each dollar of private prison money accepted -- directly or indirectly -- by your campaign undermines your pro-immigrant policy promises, and our community will not be misled.
We demand that contributions made by CCA and Geo Group lobbyists to your campaign be returned.
