Democrats need a nominee in 2020 who will stand up for working people of all races against Wall Street’s crimes and misdeeds. Wall Street caused the financial crisis by targeting the poor and communities of color with predatory loans that put families into high-interest mortgages and then playing games with their mortgages. Their greed and recklessness cost millions of of people their jobs and pushed down wages for working families. Black families were hit hardest: half of black wealth was destroyed by the financial crisis.
Now is the time for potential 2020 nominees to show what they are made of. We need champions for the working class, not politicians who will say one thing in private to their Wall Street friends and another to voters.
