Regina Loves Transit. Tell Regina City Council NO 10% TRANSIT HIKE!

Regina Transit is experiencing the highest ridership in its history. Nearly 9 million rides this year. A 20% increase in just two years. Riders are doing their part: reducing congestion, lowering emissions, and making this city work.

Despite this, City Council is proposing a 10% fare hike on a system that already charges the highest fares in the region while investing the least per capita.

We are riders, neighbours, students, seniors, workers, and families. We depend on transit to get to work, to school, to appointments, to each other. For many of us, the bus is not a choice, it is a lifeline.

We are asking City Council to freeze the fare. A budget is a statement of values. It shows who we prioritize and who we are willing to leave behind.

We choose a Regina that keeps its promises. We choose a Regina that moves together.

Subject: Vote No on the 10% Hike

Dear [Councillor/Mayor],

I am writing to ask you to vote against the proposed 10% transit fare increase.

Regina Transit ridership is at an all-time high. A fare hike on a system that already charges the highest fares in the region, while the city invests the least per capita, sends the wrong message.

Please freeze the fare and keep transit accessible for everyone.

Thank you,
