Tell Senator John Jagler you support Narcan in Wisconsin High Schools! SUPPORT SB206!
Senator John Jagler (Chair) and members of the Senate Committee on Education
Substance Use and accidental overdose is rising in Wisconsin and is impacting young people.
IT IS URGENT to make sure Naloxone (Narcan), a lifesaving medication designed to help reverse the effects of an opioid overdose, is accessible where young people are.
Tell Senator Jagler and the Senate Committee on Education that you SUPPORT SB206 which would establish policies for high schools to safely store, access, and administer an opioid antidote in the case of an overdose emergency in Wisconsin.

I am signing this support statement today for SB206 which would make sure Naloxone (Narcan), a lifesaving medication designed to help reverse the effects of an opioid overdose, would be accessible where young people are. In their high schools.
According to WISH (Wisconsin Interactive Statistics on Health) Query System, there were 76 opioid deaths for those 19 years old and younger in just a four year span.
I want to be sure that Senator John Jagler and the Senate Committee on Education know that I am in support of SB206 which would establish policies for high schools to safely store, access, and administer an opioid antidote in the case of an overdose emergency in Wisconsin.
This law has passed in other states already as schools districts have recognized
the danger of fentanyl and are working to get ahead of any future preventable deaths.
The WI Department of Health Services recommends schools stock Narcan in their schools’ first aid kit which SB 206 would do making Narcan accessible during an overdose.
Overdose deaths are preventable. We need to do everything we can to proactively save young people's lives.
I encourage you to vote favorably for SB206 and move this bill forward.
Thank you!
