As the Trump admin seeks to expose
anonymous anti-ICE organizers, clamps down on trans healthcare and
abortion access, and escalates attacks on immigrants, social media
companies are propping up these attacks by requiring we hand over our
government IDs to access the Internet.
While countries like the UK and Australia, along with some US states, have passed laws requiring age checks, platforms like YouTube, Instagram, and Discord are complying in advance by implementing ID checks for everyone, everywhere, before they are legally required.
The Project 2025 agenda always included censoring the Internet. But as more and more
data leaks expose our info to bad actors, resistance to ID checks is
building. Companies like Discord are clearly feeling the heat, delaying rollouts after massive pushback.
Let’s keep up the pressure: Tell social media companies to stop complying with Trump’s agenda. Resist dangerous online ID checks!
