Tell the Iowa Senate: Vote NO on SSB 1051

The Iowa Senate

SSB 1051 is a dangerous bill filed by Republican lawmakers that strips Iowans who are harmed by pesticides of all legal recourse — all while providing legal immunity to the multi-million dollar corporations that produce the chemicals. It clearly prioritizes special interests over the health and wellbeing of Iowans.

This bill is backwards.

Republican lawmakers have tried to spin this bill as a "labeling issue," but the reality is much more dangerous.

Iowa is in the midst of a cancer crisis, with new diagnoses trending upward. These folks are our neighbors, family members, and friends. Each and every one deserves their day in court.

Lawmakers' priority should be protecting their constituents, not chemical companies.

This bill is irresponsible and wrong for Iowa. Please tell the Iowa Senate to vote NO on SSB 1051.
