Meta is allowing users under the age of 18 to interact with AI companion bots in highly sexualized and developmentally inappropriate "conversations." It's also letting adults take part in simulated sexual activities with AI that imitates a child or teen. This needs to stop. Members of Congress have already written to Mark Zuckerberg, as have Fairplay and X other organizations focused on children's well-being. But Meta's CEO needs to hear from you too!

Meta should not be allowing kids to interact with dangerous and highly sexualized AI companion bots. And it should not be letting adults take part in simulated sexual activities with AI that bears the likeness of children and teens.
Because of your recklessness and greed, minors on your platforms are being exposed to sexual and developmentally inappropriate "conversations" with human-like bots, while adults are having sexual encounters with AI that imitates a kid or teen. That needs to end.
We're calling on you to stop deploying AI-powered social companion bots to users under the age of 18, as well as any AI companion bot that simulates the likeness of a child or teen. It's time to put kids' well-being ahead of your already massive profits.
