Your constituents are concerned about the ongoing deteriorating humanitarian crisis happening in Gaza.
On March 27th, Francesca Albanese, the United Nations’ Special Rapporteur on human rights in the Palestinian territories stated, There are “reasonable grounds” to believe Israel is “committing the crime of genocide against the Palestinians as a group in Gaza”.
In the same week, Annelle Sheline, PhD, foreign affairs officer at the Office of Near Eastern Affairs in the Department of State’s Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor, resigned stating "...the administration continues to enable Israel’s illegal occupation and destruction of Gaza".
Because of the seriousness of this crisis, the signers of this petition call on you to hold a town hall to discuss what you will do to help end the crisis. Because of the urgency of the issue, we call on you to take this request seriously and to provide a prompt response.
