Mayor Linda Gorton, Police Chief Lawrence Weathers, University of KY President Eli Capilouto and All Lexington City, Institutional and Private Sector Leaders

Lexington, KY, the horse capital of the world, has a long history of subtle, yet debilitating, racial injustice. The call for police reform is loud and clear in Lexington, as it is across the entire country. Still, all disparities attributable to race stem from economic disparities. So, we are calling on you, in your respective roles to:

Sign Our Petition in Support of the Black Faith Leaders of Lexington, KY & Vicinity Statement calling for:

1.      A Permanent Ban on No Knock Warrants;

2.      Stricter Policy on Police Body Camera Use;

3.      Maximization of Citizen Participation DURING the Police Disciplinary Process and

4.      City Government, School Board, Public University and Private Sector implementation of comprehensive 15% racial minority business spending requirements.
