We are the front-line professional healthcare workers, patients and Quincy community members united for safe staffing levels that lead be better patient care and outcomes at Blessing Hospital in Quincy Illinois. This is our petition for safe staffing and improved patient care.

As such we call on Blessing Hospital to address chronic understaffing, improve recruitment and retention of Registered Nurses, and uphold Professional Standards of Care. Any equitable resolution to these critical issues for Registered Nurses and the community we serve must include the following:

• Improved Nurse staffing level to ensure every patient receives the safe care
they need and deserve.
• Measures to recruit and retain highly qualified staff including competitive
compensation and professional development opportunities.
• A Registered Nurse-led Professional Practice Committee with authority to
address staffing, training and standards of care.
