University of Alberta Students' Union - Divest from Fossil Banks!

Yet despite all of this, our UofA Students Union is still banking with RBC. Join us in telling them that we don't want our money supporting this cause!

We demand that the SU divest from RBC and instead choose to bank with a credit union or fossil free bank!

RBC, TD, Scotiabank, BMO, and CIBC are among the top global funders of fossil fuel projects. They have poured nearly $1 TRILLION into fossil fuel projects in the last 6 years. This will have a lasting impact on our future. Yet despite all of this, the UofA Students Union is still banking with RBC. As an organization that aims for sustainability, we find this to be highly hypocritical. We demand that the Student's Union act sustainably and divest from fossil funding banks.
