We Demand Holiday Pay for Juneteenth

CEO Andy Jassy

Amazon loves to hang up posters of famous Black people or hand out Peccy pins to make Amazon look progressive on Juneteenth, but our experience on the job tells a different story. Juneteenth celebrates the day when all Black people in this country were freed from slavery. Enslaved people emancipated themselves, by fleeing plantations, joining the Union army, and undermining the Southern economy that was built on their forced labor. We are carrying on their struggle today. Amazon relies on Black and Brown people for its record profits, but doesn’t share the wealth that our labor creates.

We are Amazon workers coming together to demand Juneteenth as a paid holiday at Amazon and to stop the daily racism and disrespect. Join us! Add your name below to support holiday pay for Juneteenth at Amazon.
