We Demand Medicare for All
Next Congressional Representative of TX 30, Jasmine Crockett
Millions in our country have no healthcare at all. Those who are insured have seen steady increases in costs and decreases in care. A single-payer/Medicare for All system is the answer. And we need Congress to act.
It's time to put people before profits. I pledge to withhold support from any political candidate who does not affirmatively support Medicare for All. I pledge to abstain from giving financial contributions, attending campaign events, posting yard signs, or otherwise showing public support to candidates who do not prioritize Medicare for All.

It's time to make healthcare a priority in this country. Despite the fact that Texas leads the nation with 4,729,000 Texans uninsured and 76% of uninsured Texans are racial minorities, your predecessor unfortunately never advocated for or co-sponsored Medicare For All. While polls show that nearly 70% of Americans support a single-payer universal system over private insurance, residents of TX-30 have not had a representative who has stood up for the rights and the health of people over corporate profits.
Our broken, patchwork healthcare system makes individuals and families vulnerable to medical debt and dependent on our employers for coverage. We deserve the freedom to obtain healthcare regardless of employment or financial status. We want the freedom to go to a physician of our choosing rather than being told what doctors we’re allowed to visit.
As our next congressional representative, you have the power to help us make Medicare for All a reality. I share your belief that healthcare is a human right and that this must include dental, vision, hearing, and mental health care. The only viable path to accomplish this is by prioritizing the passing of the Medicare for All Act (H.R. 1976). We can't afford to continue paying more money for substandard healthcare. We cannot continue to use our tax dollars to subsidize the private insurance industry which has reported record profits in recent years by denying coverage and keeping medical care out of the reach of many who need it most!
I ask you to confirm your support for the only path to universal health coverage today!
Until you publicly commit to becoming a co-sponsor of the Medicare For All Act, I will withhold support for your campaign, including financial donations, attending campaign rallies or canvassing events, and placement of yard signs or other promotional materials.
Thank you for your attention to this vital issue.
